I do not know whether Troy Davis is innocent or not. But his case makes me wonder, is the death penalty really justified when there is much doubt in the case, Wouldn't it be better to just commute the death penalty to a life in prison sentence, rather than make people lose faith in the justice system because of a wrongful death sentence ?
